The editorial office answers the same questions, year on year. The current responses are reproduced below, with the context the editorial board considers necessary to a useful reply.

How quickly will I notice a difference?

Most men start noticing changes — usually in overnight urinary frequency or flow — somewhere between week three and week six. Saw Palmetto and Pygeum both have meaningful effect timelines around four to eight weeks; full effect typically expresses around the twelve-week mark, which is why we ship the three-bottle bundle as the default value option.

Is ProstaRemedy a substitute for prescription prostate medication?

No. If you have been prescribed an alpha-blocker (tamsulosin) or 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor (finasteride, dutasteride), do not replace those without consulting your doctor. ProstaRemedy is a daily food supplement for men with mild-to-moderate symptoms or those wanting preventive support. It is not a treatment for clinically diagnosed BPH.

Will it shrink my prostate?

Not in the dramatic sense. Saw Palmetto has modest effects on prostate volume in trials — small, often statistically significant, but not the kind of change you would notice on imaging. What it does change more reliably are the symptoms (flow rate, frequency, urgency) at their level. The improvement is in how the prostate feels and functions, not in dramatic size reduction.

Can I take it with my blood-pressure medication?

Generally yes, but always check with your prescribing doctor. Saw Palmetto has theoretical interactions with some blood thinners and hormone-modulating drugs. If you are on anticoagulant therapy (warfarin, etc.), the conversation with your doctor is non-negotiable.

Why isn’t there a giant ingredient list?

Because we do not believe in fairy-dust dosing. Six actives, all at clinical doses, all with their own evidence bases. A formula with twelve ingredients at 50 mg each is a marketing document; a formula with six ingredients at the doses used in published trials is something that might actually work.

Does it affect testosterone?

Indirectly and modestly. Saw Palmetto’s mechanism involves DHT modulation, which is downstream of testosterone but not the same as it. In well-controlled trials, total testosterone changes from Saw Palmetto are minimal. The zinc and Vitamin D3 in the formula support testosterone synthesis through their own mechanisms — the effect is closing deficiencies rather than ‘boosting’.

How is it dosed?

Two capsules per day, taken together with food. Most men take both with breakfast. The Vitamin D3 absorbs better with a meal containing some fat. Consistency matters more than perfect timing — set a phone reminder for the first thirty days.

Is it safe long-term?

Each individual ingredient has long-term safety data extending well beyond a year. Saw Palmetto in particular has decades of continuous use in U.S. prostate-support formulations with no significant safety signal. We recommend checking in with your doctor annually and continuing PSA monitoring as your doctor recommends.

Will it interfere with my PSA test?

There is some debate in the literature, but most studies show Saw Palmetto does not artificially lower PSA in the way that finasteride or dutasteride do. If you are undergoing PSA monitoring, mention to your doctor that you are taking Saw Palmetto so they can interpret results in that context.

What is the return policy?

Sixty days from delivery. If ProstaRemedy is not working for you, email [email protected] — we refund you in full, bottle returned or not. We mean it.

Where is it made?

In a GMP-certified facility in the United States. Each batch is third-party tested for active-compound content, heavy metals, and microbial purity. The Certificate of Analysis is available on request — email us with your batch number.

Should I keep taking it once symptoms improve?

Most men do. The mechanism is supportive rather than curative — once the supportive effect ends, the underlying drift toward prostate enlargement that drove the symptoms in the first place tends to resume. For ongoing support, daily continuation is the typical pattern.
